Apacer has all sorts of SSDs, from armored ones to mini SSDs. This time, the company has released the PT920 Commando, an SSD for gaming.

If you think the PT920 Commando looks weird, it’s because it’s designed to look like an assault rifle. It’s a pretty neat touch, but this fancy design doesn’t compensate for mediocre hardware. The grip of the rifle is actually a distinguished cooling system, as the SSD is structured to do multiple tasks during intensive operation. For something that powerful, this bad boy luckily requires only minimum power consumption.

The PT920 is available in either 240GB or 480GB and supports PCIe Gen 3x4 lanes with 2500/1350MB/s read and write speeds. For a fast and sharp gaming experience, the SSD also operates at a random write of 175,000 IOPs.

If that wasn’t enough bang for your buck, the SSD also comes with a 3-year warranty as well as protective technologies that help extend its lifespan. For accuracy and safety, the SSD has 120bit/2KB ECC, End-to-End Data Protection, Smart ECC, and SmartRefresh. For optimum operation, the SSD relies on its S.M.A.R.T. monitoring system and Global Wear Leveling.

So if you’re looking to get a cool-looking gaming SSD for your rig, check out the Apacer PT920 Commando.
