AMD Radeon Radeon Vega Frontier Edition

AMD has announced the release of its newest graphics card based on the Vega GPU architecture. The Radeon Vega Frontier Edition is designed for high-productivity purposes specifically catering to data scientists, game developers, and content creators.

With its High-Bandwidth Cache Controller and the HBM2 GPU, the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition is able to expand the capacity to 256TB, which is beyond the limitations of traditional GPU memory. This allows users to deal with much heavier data in real time.

Here are the detailed specs:

  • Compute Units: 4nCU
  • Stream Processors: 096
  • Memory 6GB HBC
  • Memory Bandwidth: 83 GB/per sec
  • Pixel Fill Rate: 0 gigapixels per sec
  • Floating Point Performance: (Single Precision) 13.1TFLOPS (Half Precision) 26.2TFLOPS (Double Precision) 819GFLOPS

The air-cooled version of Radeon Vega Frontier Edition is already available in certain parts of the world with a price tag of $999, with a water-cooled edition set to launch in Q3 with a price of $1499. There's no news yet of its arrival in the Philippines, but expect it to be available really soon.
