Without the fanfare or spoiler-filled trailers like in other Marvel movies, R-rated antihero Deadpool hid himself from the Infinity War fiasco and Justice League backlash. That is until Ryan Reynolds recently revealed a new poster and release date for Deadpool 2.
But even with the dust settled, Deadpool couldn't pick a worse time to hit the movie theaters. May 16 doesn't seem like blockbuster season, until you realize Avengers: Infinity War would have been out for two weeks already. That doesn't give audiences a lot of time to recuperate from the biggest comicon movie since the first Avengers, but then again Deadpool isn't a superhero (as he himself declares).
It's still a good three months before we see Wade Wilson again, but he definitely can't wait to get his time in the spotlight.
