Who
knew your knowledge of spelling would save a planet one day? In Mighty Alpha Droid by Popsicle Games, the only way to move
forward is to spell words correctly.
In this mobile game, you have to help your Mega Man look-alike run and blast through enemies by forming words with the letters you have been given. That's right; your robotic hero is only motivated to move by the power of correct spelling.
Now this might be just the game for people who read the dictionary on a daily basis, but for those of us who rely on auto-correct like an old man relies on life support, this title seems like one that was made by a squad of angry spelling Nazis.
Your attacks get more powerful depending on how many letters are used, so if words like "its", "paid", and "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" are already giving you a hard time, then this might not be the game for you. It's sort of like a "Text Twist-meets-Mega Man" kind of thing.
To make the gameplay more interesting, you can utilize power-ups to progress through each level more easily. Unlocking these requires you to collect coins, which are your reward for completing levels. There's also an aggro meter you have to keep an eye on, though there isn't much word on that as of now.
Mighty Alpha Droid has a beta version that is available to play for Android users. The iOS version is also available for Philippines and Singapore.
