Devil May Cry 5 (styled as V) was the biggest surprise of E3 this year (at least today). What was even surprising was that it was announced during Microsoft's E3 presentation, instead of PlayStation - where DMC originally started. Some shaky dealings seem to be amidst here. The sudden drop of this bombshell of an announcement is enough to give it a "GameGulp E3 Spotlight."
In any case, it's cute. Capcom wants us to like them again. We've, at least I, have marginally forgiven them for Monster Hunter: World and Mega Man 11. DMC5 is a bouquet of roses to everyone who has been displeased with the series so far. (Say what you will, Ninja Theory's DMC was pretty good).
The trailer shows Nero (the winner of 2008's Virgil Lookalike Contest), back in action with Venom Snake's prosthetic arm, in a more Ghostbusters fashion. An on-call demon-slayer in a hippie truck, if you will.
Snippets of gameplay footage from the trailer shows the typical aggressive action sequences from every DMC and DMC clones in the past decade, along with a touch of dark humor here and there.
We'll learn more about Devil May Cry 5 within the year!
