Fan Art Sundaes is a weekend section where we feature a spoonful of an artist's work based on some of your favorite geeky franchises! If you want your fan art to be featured, just email us at [email protected]!
Welcome to another edition of Fan Art Sundaes, where not even the rain can wash away your artwork. We're shining the spotlight today on 24-year-old Allistair Right, a freelance comic artist who's currently working on the prequel to the comic Charge.
Like many other artists we've featured before, Allistair started making art for as long as he can remember. He used to be fascinated with drawing forest scenes, including tree roots, berry bushes, and waterfalls. His earliest fan arts were of 90s cartoons and anime such as Rugrats, Angry Beavers, Flame of Rekka, and Yu Yu Hakusho.
Allistair doesn't know what to call his art style, but someone once described it as a "really interesting, detailed cartoon style". He takes a lot of inspiration from a variety of sources, including the classic artists Pierre-Paul Prudhon, Norman Rockwell, and John Singer Sargent, plus modern artists such as Dan LuVisi, Matt Rhodes, and Simon Stalenhag.
