Welcome back to Fan Art Sundaes: the weekly segment that shows the power of right-minded artists.

Today, let's delve into the works of Ariel Mantaring, a.k.a. "Gniratnam". He's a 19-year-old freelance artist who's currently accepting all kinds of commissions, from pixel art to environmental art and animation.

Younger Ariel would draw fan art of his favorite anime shows like Slam Dunk. Over time, he experimented and developed different art styles; taking notes from the works of Jim Lee, Olly Moss, Artgerm, and other comic book artists. This is why his artworks maintain that comic book look and feel. He also likes to implement desaturated/vintage colors that are relaxing to the eye.

He is currently geeking out on the Alien franchise, Star Wars, the DC extended universe, and video games like Doom and Uncharted. You can see some of his fan art on these franchises below and more on his DeviantArt, Artstation, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook accounts.

Fan Art Sundaes is a weekend section where we feature a spoonful of an artist's work based on some of your favorite geeky franchises! If you want your fan art to be featured, just email us at [email protected]!
