Welcome back to Fan Art Sundaes, our weekly segment that has more variety than Saturday morning cartoons!

This episode has us looking at the works of Rafael De Guzman, a 22-year-old 2D artist over at Secret 6. Rafael's art used to take the form of realistic characters, with emphasis on faces and their anatomy, but has since taken on a more cartoony approach with a bit of edginess (this is evident in his Harley Quinn fan art). Despite the change, one thing that remains constant is his clean rendering and attention to bouncing lights.

His list of inspirational artists is just too long, but at the top of it stands Alex Flores, Su Ke, and Jana Schrimer.

As for his current fandoms, Rafael does play League of Legends but prefers watching anime over arguing about lag and rude online players. He currently just finished watching Shingeki no Kyojin (or Attack on Titan, for you non-Japanese readers) and is on the lookout for a new series to binge on.

The images below are just a few samples of his art, of which more can be found on his ArtStation page and DeviantArt account.

Fan Art Sundaes is a weekend section where we feature a spoonful of an artist's work based on some of your favorite geeky franchises! If you want your fan art to be featured, just email us at [email protected]!
