The Manila Cup is one of the biggest fighting game tournaments in the Philippines, so if you want to get your name cemented in the fighting game scene, this is the place to do it. This year's event will take place from September 8 to 10 at the Power Mac Center Spotlight and is presented by Imperium Pro Team and the PlayBook ESports Team.
It will include a Capcom Pro Tour ranking event for Street Fighter V as well as other fighting game tournaments. Other games in the lineup include Tekken 7, Super Smash Bros. 4, Injustice 2, Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator 2, Blazblue: Central Fiction, Mortal Kombat XL, King of Fighters XIV, and Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3.
prepare for the Capcom Pro Tour, organizers have arranged for some pocket
events (called the Road to Manila Cup 2017). These tournaments are specifically
catered to non-sponsored players (or players who aren't covered by eSports
teams, companies or organizations) and will reward the winners with free passes
to the Manila Cup.

The organizers have announced the events to be held at the Playbook Video Game Lounge + Bookshop, Circuit Makati. The Road to Manila Cup 2017 officially starts on July 1 and it will feature BlazBlue: Central Fiction and Mortal Kombat XL. You can register for these particular tournaments online. More pocket tournaments in other venues will be announced soon.
