Let's make this clear: Honor is a Huawei brand.
Moving forward. Just recently, the Honor 10GT has been announced with an impressive 8GB RAM. Flagship phones the Huawei P20 Pro and Huawei Mate 10 Pro only go all the way up to 6GB. It begs to ask the question: WTF would you need a phone with an 8GB RAM? Mobile gaming? Uh, sure, that trend's picking up. And it's picking up fast.
The Chinese website of Honor reveals some solid and interesting details of the Honor 10GT. The language hasn't been translated to English so we're just going to have to speculate.
As mentioned earlier, the Honor 10GT features eight gigs of RAM and will be powered by Huawei's own designed Kirin processor. Maybe a Kirin 970, which is the same as a Huawei P20 Pro. There's a strong emphasis here on AI and machine learning, which basically boils it down to:
- It will know when you text and who you send it to: So it will do it for you.
- It knows when you will take selfies. So it will do it for you.
- It will predict literally everything you do. Downloaded Arena of Valor? It will play it for you. And will also automatically download other similar games just so it could surprise you.
Judging from the image above, the Honor 10GT will have some sort of 3D, VR, or AR augmentation. No special glasses needed.
Based on this photo, the Honor 10GT will have a fingerprint sensor. Exactly what we need! Finally, something that replaces facial recognition.
We can't understand the language written above. But we guess, the Honor 10GT has a really nice camera, with some AI stuff in it to make it even better. Plus night photography will look amazing. There's a "6s" written somewhere there, which probably compares the Honor 10GT to the iPhone 6s' camera.
Huawei and Honor sprinkles the salt over Apple's wounds by displaying the headphone jack in full glory. Go stick your wireless headphones to where the sun don't shine, Apple. We want cables! Oh, and Type C.
One of the most innovative feature is the ability to play music on your phone. You can throw away your iPod Shuffle, cause the Honor 10GT is here for an aggressive takeover.
I don't really understand the context of this photo, besides showing us how the phone compares in the hand. It's probably a direct message to everyone, "Why all the fuss about the iPhone X? The Honor 10GT has a notch too!"
We are sold. The Honor 10GT is definitely on my top five phones this year.
All the jokes aside, the Honor 10GT is speculated to cost around less than 400 USD, while the Huawei P20 Pro which has, for better or for worse, near identical specs went up to over 800 USD. Refer to the specifications below!
