Okay, this is all we've gathered from Nintendo 3DS Direct, and we're man enough to admit that our info isn't complete, and we're posting this a week after the reveal. But it's Nintendo! Knowing them, their announcements haven't been all that mind-blowing. Here's the rundown:

Toon Zelda

Toon Zelda is coming to Hyrule Warriors (Wii U) and Hyrule Warriors Legends (Nintendo 3DS). It appears that she is dead, considering that she is a wandering spirit. She can also possess a giant suit of armor with a big-ass sword that would make both Cloud Strife and Guts walk away in shame...

Toon Link gets new weapons

Not to be left in the dust by his main squeeze, Toon Link will get new weapons to upgrade his arsenal. With a Sand Wand that allows you to toss blocks and the Spirit Train to massacre foes with, playing as Toon Link seems like heaps of fun.

Nintendo also shows 3DS owners some love by giving exclusive items for Hyrule Warriors Legends - fifteen new costumes for "My Fairy Mode", an adventure mode called "Grand Travels", and much more.

Skyward Sword gets released on the Wii U Virtual Console

Though not part of the 3DS Direct, we could never count out a Zelda game.

The Nintendo eShop has launched the Virtual Console edition of Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for $19.99. The game was first released in 2011 and is the latest entry to the main Zelda lineup, where Breath of the Wild is expected to replace it next year.

Olimar explores the 3DS in this new Pikmin Game

A new side-scrolling Pikmin game has been announced for the Nintendo 3DS and is slated for a 2017 release.

Senior Product Marketing Manager of Nintendo America, Bill Trinen, said during the Nintendo Direct presentation that the game has been designed "with action in mind".

I suppose what that means is that the new Pikmin will have more action-oriented gameplay. Pikmin shows Olimar, a space explorer, who uses different colored Pikmin to gather resources and solve puzzles.

Mario Sports Superstars announced for the 3DS

Wow, Nintendo sure does love to recycle its character rosters. Don't get me wrong, Smash Bros. is always nice to have, but the recent Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympics feels nothing but an empty cash grab.

So here we are with a new party game. Sports Superstars pits Nintendo characters in various sports games: baseball, football, tennis, golf, and... horseback racing? The game is said to simulate real sports as well. One should wonder if the game is aimed to inspire kids to go out and play some actual sports.

The game is slated for a spring 2017 release.

Mario Party Star Rush

Speaking of party games, Mario Party Star Rush seeks to turn handheld gaming into a party bus. There are seven game modes to enjoy with up to four players and will feature strategy-like board games and mini-boss battles.

As an added celebration for the game, seven new amiibo figures will be also be released, one of which is a glow-in-the-dark Boo.

Ever Oasis

Finally! Something truly, absolutely, terrifyingly new from Nintendo.

Ever Oasis is a dungeon-crawling game where the main protagonist, Tethu, fights monsters and travels from town to town. It is a classic set up with a nice day-night cycle to spice things up.

Combined with a variety of party members which you have to use specifically for combat and puzzle-solving, the game seeks to deliver something fresh to the Nintendo lineup when it is released in 2017.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf gets amiibo support

This free update expands the original game that was released back in 2013 and features Animal Crossing amiibo support. These will come in the form of 50 new Animal Crossing amiibo cards that will be released on December 2 in the US.

Wool Yoshi jumps to the 3DS

For 3DS owners who don't own a Wii U, you will be pleased to know the hyper cute Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World is going portable this February 3, 2017.

This version includes all the levels from the console version as well as exclusive levels solely for Poochy. To top it all off, a new feature called "Poochy Pups" has been installed. Simply walk to an area and these pups will bark, telling you where the game's various secrets lie!

Dragon Quest VIII for the 3DS gets delayed to 2017; Dragon Quest VII gets announced

That pretty much sums it up. In postponing one title, Nintendo has announced that Dragon Quest VII will be out this September 16.

Including all-new monsters, dungeons, and weapons, Dragon Quest VII seems to be more than adequate as we wait for the release of its sequel the following year.

Yo-Kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits and Yo-Kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls

The Yo-Kai series, was, admittedly, a massive surprise hit. It's like the new age Pokémon, but not yet as grand. Instead of creatures based on real life animals, Yo-Kai Watch features apparitions based on Japanese folklore. The games have been surprisingly fun as well and have all the tickles that make a game fun and entertaining.

Originally released in 2014, the two games will finally have their North American release this September 30, complete with English translations. Each of the games will feature different Yo-kai which you can befriend and unlock different special moves for.

Pokémon Sun and Moon gets new monsters and Z-Moves

A Marowak with a burning bone, a dark-type Meowth, and a redesigned Raichu surfing in its own tail! Yes, we are very much sold.

But what else is there to announce in the upcoming Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon?

We get a rampaging Snorlax, a Munchlax which you can receive for either game from release up to January 11, 2017 (similar to the Torchic gift from X and Y), oh and yes, super crazy finishers called Z-Moves which can be unlocked by using Z-Crystals.

Both games will be released this November 23.

Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice

Sonic is blazing back to its roots with speedy gameplay! This could mean a comeback for one of the gaming's oldest icons. But after years of being mistreated and handled poorly, we're not really excited.

Disney Magical World 2

Can't go to Disney World any time you want? Not to worry. Disney is forging a path to ensure every man, woman, child, and adult has not only the power to enter this magical world, but will also be able to hang out with their favorite Disney characters. Pre-purchases from the Nintendo eShop will award players three outfits for Frozen characters - Elsa, Anna, and Olaf. So exciting!

Disney Magical World 2 will be out on October 14, 2016.

StreetPass Mii Plaza

The new update will feature "Quick Plaza", where Premium members will have access to the "Line" feature. This allows up to 100 encountered Mii characters instead of the usual ten. There will also be new StreePass games priced at $2.99 each.

All of these features will be available starting September 1, 2016.

Picross 3D: Round 2

The popular color puzzle game will finally get an English translation. You can unlock more puzzles using amiibo figures and as of now, there are over 50 available figures and growing. So expect a lot of puzzles to solve.

Picross 3D: Round 2 is available exclusively on the Nintendo eShop for the 3DS.

Tank Troopers

Battle City was one of the best games on the Famicom/NES. You controlled a tank that evolved as you collected power ups. The point of the game was to crush all your enemies and wreck their base before they do.

Tank Troopers, a fresh Nintendo title, takes that simple concept and brings it back to life. The game features a variety of characters, each of which will have their own specific abilities such as a freeze attack, an electric shock, and launching paintballs to block your opponent's view.

Featuring a local six-player multiplayer as well as a single player mode, Tank Troopers is set to be released later this year.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse

A translated version of Shin Megami Tensei IV will be out on September 20. It features the same gameplay, recruiting demons and other mythical creatures to make your character stronger, as well as multiple endings that are a staple of the series. This game's about just enough to scratch that Persona 5 itch.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice

The court drama videogame makes a return and with new investigative features. The game will take place in the Kingdom of Khura'in, where trials are decided on séance - that means some sort meeting with a spirit, kind of like an Ouija.

The game is a Nintendo eShop exclusive and will be out September 8, 2016.

Super Mario Maker hits the 3DS

You got that right. The very game that gave the Wii U a fighting chance against the other home consoles will soon be portable.

Yay, right? Not really. First up, courses you make in the 3DS cannot be uploaded, and you cannot input course codes. Instead, you share courses through local wireless connections. Also, though Nintendo will randomly download courses created on the Wii U, not all of these will be compatible for the portable version.

At least Nintendo created 100 original courses and placed them into the game. So there's that, right?

Super Mario Maker for the 3DS will be released this December 2, 2016.

And that's it. Apart from a couple of new IPs, nothing really stood out for us in this lengthy Nintendo announcement. What was your favorite game showcased in Nintendo 3DS Direct? Let us know!
