Both Sony and Microsoft had dominated E3 this year and we were kind of hoping Nintendo would as well. There's no info on a new Mario Maker, no announcement on the next big New Super Mario Bros. Switch, and not even a tiny peak what's going on in Metroid Prime 4. We're guessing Nintendo is holding back for their own Nintendo Direct event, where they will reveal more details. Meanwhile, check out what they've announced.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
The ultimate hero brawler is back. Bigger than ever before, with a roster over 60 characters from all the previous SSB game. That's right. Every single one of them has been recycled with some additional polish. Ridley, a big bad from the Metroid series is new, and made an appearance in the trailer after savagely murdering Mario and Mega Man. There's room for more new characters but so far, only the Inklings have been announced.
Fire Emblem Three Houses
We all know what Fire Emblem is. It's a turn-based tactical RPG. Like Final Fantasy Tactics, only there's a cutscene animation for each attack. And permadeath, which adds a lot of stress to the player. At least FF Tactics gave you time to revive your characters before they're turn to crystals and join the Lifestream. Not much details has been revealed on the story, but the name Three Houses should be enough to let you know that the story is either a love triangle or a three-way gone wrong.
Daemon X Machina
All you need to know about this game is that it features mechas. Mechas that you can customize Armored Core-style with a lot of pretty graphics and seems to have combat pace that rivals Nier Automata, which is really sweet. Let's hope Nintendo includes multiplayer. Co-op missions or PvP, which makes all the customization more exciting.
Fortnite is coming to the Switch, along with Dragon Ball FighterZ. Oh, there's also an Overcooked 2. But we'll talk about that later.
