Say what
you will about the physical design of the GameCube, but that console had some
of the best classic exclusives; including The
Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Metroid
Prime and of course, Super Smash
Bros. Melee.
If you miss playing that last game, you're in luck. The local Smash Bros. community is sponsoring a tournament called Revival of Philippine Melee (RPM)ÃÂÃÂ which features the game. It will be held at theÃÂÃÂ Playbook Circuit MakatiÃÂÃÂ on May 27. This is an event that will run alongside the grand finals of the Manila Smash League Tournament.
ÃÂÃÂ It doesn't matter whether you are a pro, rookie, or someone who's never played Super Smash Bros. Melee, because anyone can join for a chance to take home part of the P5,000 prize pool.
If you want to relive the glory days of Super Smash Bros. Melee, know that registration starts at 1 PM with a door fee of P150. Participants in the Manila Smash League finals will be granted free entry.
Until then, you have plenty of time to practice launching a child-friendly Italian porn star - I mean plumber, off the screen.ÃÂÃÂ
