...Well, no. We all know that isn't true. That honor goes to the ginormous cosplay convention which is Avengers: Infinity War. But after that summer blockbuster is done, having a dozen CGI Spider-Men grace movie houses on December 2018 isn't a bad way to spend Christmas.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is sick and tired of seeing Peter Parker be the only Web Slinger on the silver screen, so it rightfully decided to cast Miles Morales as its main protagonist.
For those of you who can't read (in which case, I wonder how you can comprehend this), Miles Morales succeeded Peter Parker as Spider-Man after his death in the Ultimate Spider-Man comic book series. Since then, he has become a fan favorite character and appears in a bunch of other comic books, one of which is Spider-Verse.
Just like in the aforementioned comic, Miles comes into contact with a bunch of spider-powered wall squatters from alternate universes: Peter Parker, Peni Parker, Peter Porker, and Gwen Stacy (who receives spider powers instead of Peter). These spider dudes and dudettes will no doubt make their appearances as the film nears its release.
Oh, and this isn't a live-action movie. As you can see from the trailer, everything is wholly animated and stars Shameik Moore as the voice of Miles Morales, Jefferson Davis as Miles' father, and Brian Tyree Henry as Aaron Davis, Miles' uncle (who you saw Donald Glover play in Spider-Man: Homecoming).
