DC HOOQ Kara Danvers Melissa Benoist Supergirl Superman The Flash

Normally, most international TV shows would be aired locally at a later date than their original overseas premiere. In the case of The CW's Supergirl however, you can now watch its newest season through HOOQ, a video-on-demand streaming app, at the same time as its U.S. telecast. Thanks to this, you can stay up to date on the life of Superman's cousin without having to brace for spoilers that horrible friends post on social media.

In Supergirl's second season, we see Kara Danvers/Zor-El (Melissa Benoist) leave her job as an assistant to the feisty Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) in order to figure out what she really wants to do with her life. As her superhero alter-ego, Kara continues to work at the DEO, fighting crime and searching for her adoptive father Jeremiah. New villains await and will see her striving to balance her personal life with her duty to protect National City.

Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) will finally make an appearance this season to help Kara out in her heroic missions. It will be interesting to see one of the most iconic superheroes as a mere sidekick to his cousin. Barry Allen, a.k.a. the Flash, will also show up to bridge Supergirl to the rest of the DC television universe. Since the show was acquired by The CW after the show's imminent cancellation, expect more crossover episodes with other DC shows produced by the same company.

Speaking of other shows, HOOQ also streams DC TV series such as The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Gotham and Lucifer. These are just a few among the streaming app's collection of over 10,000 movies and TV shows for your viewing pleasure.

If you haven't signed up yet, you can head on over to HOOQ's website and enjoy a 7-day free trial.
