Netflix SDCC SDCC 2017 Stranger Things Stranger Things 2

If you haven't watched its first season, Stranger Things is a show that anyone with either a Netflix subscription or a fascination with child actors should watch.

It has everything: glowing Christmas lights, egg waffles... even weird tentacle monsters! Though its initial eight episodes were self-contained, it did hint that the rescue of Will Byers from the Upside Down resulted in him not coming back totally Will... err, well.

He is still afflicted with a mental illness that makes him think a bowl cut is a hairstyle that makes him look cool, but has now also lost his ability to play video games.

Oh, and he sees giant tentacle monsters everywhere, too.

To combat Will's aversion to all things remotely Japanese, friends Dustin, Mike, and Lucas dress up as Ghostbusters to capture their companion's demons inside a technologically advanced waffle iron.

Meanwhile, on the down side of the Upside Down, Eleven tries to make her way back to a world that isn't composed of varying shades of grey. This may be largely due to her love of frozen breakfast foods, because even telekinetic laboratory experiments have to start the day with a good meal.

Along with returning characters Joyce Byers, chief police officer Jim Hopper, Nancy Wheeler, and Jonathan Byers, the people of Hawkins, Indiana will fall victim to a remake of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" music video. Only this time, it's for real.

Stranger Things season two will possess you this October 27, 2017.
