11th TagCom TagCom TagCom 2017

While gamers have plans of assembling at the Pinoy Gaming Festival this April 28, 29 and 30 at Trinoma Mall, K-Pop fans, cosplayers and hobby collectors can flock to SM Megamall on April 29 and 30 for the 11th TagCom.

What's there to see at this year's TagCom?

After paying the event's entrance fee of P100, interesting exhibits of toys, figurines and life-sized statues of your favorite geek franchises await you. Various booths that sell toys, comics, cosplay must-haves, t-shirts, and all types of geeky merchandise will also be there, so don't think that it's a good idea to come with an empty wallet.

While you're there, you may request for art commissions or caricatures at the event's Artist Alley. Here you'll get to meet local artists, namely Lowe Beltran, Dave Quindoy, Patty Arroyo, Ron Escultura, Rozel Siena, Bernce Llamo, Andrew Villar, Jeff Benitez, Gio Custodio, Amos Villar, and JC Panlilio.

Aside from all this, TagCom has various activities in store for all its attendees.

For the first day, a K-Pop cosplay competition and Dance Cover contest will be held, courtesy of Vogue Entertainment. A generous cash prize of P3,000 awaits the champion of the Kpop competition while the winner of the Dance Cover contest gets a whopping P10,000! For the full mechanics, you can visit Vogue Entertainment's Facebook page

On the second day, yet another set of K-Pop themed contests will be held in partnership with Press Play Productions: a K-Pop cosplay contest (P1,000 cash prize) and a Dance Cover contest (P5,000 for 1st place, P3,000 for 2nd place, P2,000 for 3rd place) plus a singing contest (P1,500 cash prize). If you didn't win anything on the first day, you can still try your luck here! Visit their Facebook page to know more.

TagCom will also hold an anime cosplay competition with more cash prizes at stake.

The best male and female Cosplayer will each win a cash prize of P4,500, while the Best chibi costume will get P3,000. If you're planning to join, you better bring your A-game because it's going to be tough to impress this star-studded set of judges: Chun (Chun WX), Aien (Art Ninja), Hiro (Hiro PH) and Markee (Shinobimarkee).

That's a lot of contests for one weekend so it's definitely going to be fun-filled event! But wait, that's not all! In between the competitions, attendees will be treated to special performances. Feast your eyes on mesmerizing lightsaber choreography by FightSaber Philippines, and entertaining song-and-dance numbers from Ivy! Musume and Class A +!

The 11th TagCom is brought to you by Hobby at Worx, the same guys behind The Manila Hobbies & Collectibles Convention.

The last weekend of April is going to be celebration of all sorts of fandoms, so don't miss out on any of these events or you'll regret it!
