Jumpship Playdead Somerville

Dino Patti, ex-CEO and co-founder of Playdead, the studio behind Inside and Limbo, is working on a new game titled Somerville. The new project is currently being developed under Jumpship, a new studio he founded with Chris Olsen. This is after he left Playdead in 2016, shortly after the release of Inside.

Chris Olsen is an animator who worked on feature films such as Edge of Tomorrow and Avengers: Age of Ultron. He has been working on Somerville for over three years now. The official description says it's "a sci-fi action adventure that chronicles the lives of key individuals in the wake of a global catastrophe."

A new teaser trailer has also been released, which you can watch here:

Not much is revealed from this teaser, but judging by Olsen's dev blogs over at Somerville's Tumblr, it looks like it's going be a side-scrolling game. Since this game is still in the early stages of development, we can expect the finished product to be something else entirely.
