Developer Fuji&Gumi Games and publisher Gumi Inc. are introducing an English version of the widely sought after Japanese strategy mobile RPG For Whom the Alchemist Exists. Renamed "The Alchemist Code", the game will launch globally on iOS and Android devices sometime this year.
Coupled with the announcement is a global trailer for the game, where viewers are given their first look at gameplay footage:
The Alchemist Code's gameplay is similar to that of Final Fantasy Tactics,in that it is turn-based combat set at
an isometric perspective. Teams can be customized and deployed on
multi-dimensional planes of varied elevation and orientation. The game also
features animated 3D battles, anime-styled cutscenes, and voice acting.
The development team is comprised of familiar names as well; the most notable one being Shoji Kawamori, who is best known for the Macross series. Renowned composer Yoko Shimomura (Kingdom Hearts, Street Fighter II, Mario & Luigi) also lends her talent to the mobile game's soundtrack.
The Alchemist Code will be free (with in-app purchases) on mobile devices soon.
