With dozens of weird characters and hundreds of monsters and items, it's not impossible for a card game based on "The Binding of Isaac" to happen.
Isaac creator, Edmun McMillen has recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for the card game called "Four Souls." It will feature familiar items and creatures in it from the Isaac universe, including the loveable Monstro.
As of this writing, the campaign had over 2,900 backers. A quick refresh and the numbers had gone over 3,000. Over 225,917 US dollars had already been pledged out of the $50,000 initial goal.
Straight from the Kickstarter page, the game is played: "2-4 players take turns playing loot cards and using items to kill monsters that yield more items, loot, and sometimes souls. The first player to end their turn with 4 souls is the winner. Cooperation, barter, and betrayal is encouraged."
It sounds like a delicious treat for anyone hunting for a new game to play that doesn't need any sort of electricity to run.
The Binding of Isaac was originally launched in 2011 and built with Adobe Flash. The game has seen multiple upgrades over the years and is one of the most popular games out there. If you haven't played the actual game yet, then you should, it's currently 33% off on Steam. Don't let that "Mixed" reviews fool you, that's only for the latest update.
