Telltale Games, the studio behind the tear-jerking The Walking Dead: A Telltale Series and the crazy ride that is Tales from the Borderlands, just announced the release date of the first episode of their newest game, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series.
This new title will feature an original story starring the space misfits Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket Raccoon, and Groot. So if you haven't watched the movie yet, it's fine since this will be an entirely new experience altogether. Even the cast is different: Scott Porter as Star-Lord, Emily O'Brien as Gamora, Nolan North as Rocket, Brandon Paul Eells as Drax, and Adam Harrington as Groot. Let's hope the game will also showcase a new Awesome Mix to go alongside it.
In this series, these unlikely heroes discover a relic of unspeakable power. Each of them seeks to get a hold of this artifact for different reasons but not more so than a certain new enemy, who is the last of her kind. Just like in every Telltale game, the choices you make will carry over to the next episodes, altering the story as you go along.Ã
The first episode, "Tangled Up In Blue" will be available for download this April 18 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, iOS and Android. PS4 players who pre-order the game in the North and South America will get an exclusive theme.
Telltale also released new key art of the game, as shown below. Thanos is there, and it looks like he's part of the story too. Will the Guardians be able to handle him?
More will be revealed as a trailer drops this
Thursday, so stay tuned!
