Alita Battle Angel

On the bright side, the next project we'll see from James Cameron isn't another movie with blue humanoids. However, this next movie does feature another character with huge eyes. We may have just discovered the director's fetish...

Alita: Battle Angel is the live action adaptation of Yukito Kishiro's manga and tells the story of a cyborg who has no recollection of her past. Typical anime/manga art style is characterized by huge eyes and heads, big hair, and slim limbs...which are exactly what you'll see on Alita in the first trailer of this LIVE-ACTION movie. It's a bit creepy, especially since the other cyborg featured in the movie looks somewhat normal.

James Cameron may have written the screenplay, but it's Sin City director Robert Rodriguez who's helming the movie. Joining the cast are Maze Runner's Rosa Salazar, Christoph Waltz, Jennifer Connelly, and Mahershala Ali.

Alita: Battle Angel will launch in Philippine cinemas on July 2018.
