The final trailer for Stranger Things Season 2 reveals a whole lot more clues to the season's plot. Taking place a year after the events of Season 1, the cast and apparently the rest of the residents of Hawkins are now gearing up for bigger threats from the Upside Down. We see clips of Steve hanging out with the kids, and the Chief tossing a gun to Nancy. Will Byers (poor guy) is the key element to these creatures' arrival, so he won't be catching a break soon.
Meanwhile, the trailer also sees the return of Eleven, who now has hair and is still obsessed with Eggo waffles. The finale of last season saw her vanish after she took on the Demogorgon head-on, leaving us with questions of her fate. But she appears to be alright, and may prove instrumental again in the battle against the Upside Down monsters.
Several new faces also show up. There's Sean Astin (of Lord of the Rings fame) who will apparently play Joyce's boyfriend; Sadie Sink, who is Max, the new tomboyish member of the kids' group; and Dacre Montgomery (the red ranger from the Power Rangers Movie) who will serve as the new bully this season.
Stranger Things Season 2 will be available for streaming on Netflix this October 27, 2017.
