Ben Stiller Owen Wilson Will Ferrell Zoolander

No one can forget the 2001 cult classic film, Zoolander, which gave us some of the most memorable comedy gags, including that signature Blue Steel gaze that most probably inspired Tyra Banks' "smize". Zoolander may arguably be Ben Stiller's best film, so doing a sequel for such a beloved comedy may not have been the best idea, especially since sequels fare worse. Although, judging by this newly released trailer by Paramount Pictures, Zoolander 2 looks (hilariously) promising.

After 14 years, Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson reprise their roles as the legendary, dumb male models Derek Zoolander and Hansel. The trailer quickly establishes the current situation of both icons. They are now much older and are has-beens in the fashion industry, left behind by the changing times. In their place is a new supermodel the world is raving about:

Yes, it's an androgynous Benedict Cumberbatch without eyebrows. I'm excited already!

While struggling to stay relevant, Zoolander and Hansel are enlisted by an Interpol agent, played by Penelope Cruz, who needs their help in tracking down the mastermind behind the killings of "the most beautiful people in the world."

Lo and behold, the trailer later reveals the killer to be no other than Mugatu (Will Ferrell), who returns with a vengeance. Once again, it is up to two dim-witted but ridiculously good-looking models to stop his criminal acts.

Ben Stiller's last film was Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, which didn't garner enough favorable reviews from critics and audiences alike and is more known for being Robin William's final movie before his untimely death.  Here's to hoping Stiller springs back in fabulous form.

Zoolander 2, the much-awaited sequel to the 2001 satirical comedy Zoolander, will premiere on February 12 of next year.
