Altered Carbon Netflix

In anticipation for the release of cyberpunk series Altered Carbon, Netflix released a video that expounds on the show's backstory. Narrated by Neil deGrasse Tyson, the featurette delves on humanity's obsession with immortality and how people can prolong their lives. It features popular personalities like Steve Aoki, YouTuber Jesse Wellens, and even Globe Telecom's CEO, Ernest Cu.

Altered Carbon
is based on Rick K. Morgan's novel of the same name and is set 300 years in the future. In this world, consciousness can be contained in devices and transferred from one physical body to another. The series follows Takeshi Kovacs (Joel Kinnaman) a mercenary who wakes up after 3 centuries and is given the choice to either spend his renewed life in prison or help solve a high-profile murder case.

If you're a big fan of Blade Runner, this show should definitely be on your watch list. Altered Carbon is set to launch worldwide today, on February 2, but considering we're always a day ahead of the US, the series will most likely be available tomorrow.
